Everything in gaming is a 50/50. It either happens or it doesn't. In fact, that is also true in real life. It either does or it doesn't.

Hello Free American Gamers and future Free American Gamers. Welcome to another Free American Gaming approved guide designed to teach you a sacred philosophy that ALL Free American Gamers must respect. This is called the 50/50 Doctrine. The 50/50 Doctrine is made to help prevent hesitation in gaming and develop a gamer mindset that will instill fear to your enemies and teammates.

Now, in order to master the 50/50 Doctrine, you need to understand a few things:

  • What is the best gamer mindset for dealing with RNG and Uncertainty?

  • How do I instill fear into other players by developing a relentless Free American Gaming spirit?

  • How can I stay confident in gaming and in life as a whole?

Hopefully, by the end of this guide, you will have a strong grasp and understanding of these topical questions. Now then, in order for you to master the 50/50 Doctrine, you need to understand the history of the 50/50 Gamer Mindset, why gamers lose: the illusion of control, the 50/50 rules of engagement, game sense is knowing when to flip the coin, philosophy: you fail 100% of the time you don't do, and going beyond gaming and into life. By mastering these elements, you will be a formidable opponent in all lobbies. Here is, "The 50/50 Doctrine: The Gamer Mindset That Wins Games."

The History of the 50/50 Gamer Mindset

History of Gaming Mindset
Very Real Photo of Christopher Columbus

Starting off, according to the Free American Gaming Historical Society, the first recorded discussion of the 50/50 Gamer Mindset occurred when Christopher Columbus set sail across the Atlantic Ocean. Knowingly committing to the ultimate coin flip. Here is an excerpt from his diary about his journeys:

"So I says to my King, "Can't an explorer look for India across the Atlantic Ocean!" And my King said, "No, dummy!" So I took my chances and asked another king. And he says, "Yeah, sure you can!" So I took me and my 50/50 Doctrine across the Atlantic to find India."

-Columbus ~1492 (Translated by the Free American Gaming Historical Society)

With incomplete maps, unreliable information, and no respawn point, Columbus understood what every Free American Gamer knows today: you either make the play or you never discover the win condition. The journey west was pure risk vs reward, powered purely by the 50/50 Doctrine, the gamer mindset that wins games. This moment marks the birth of the 50/50 philosophy that the Free American Gaming Historical Society uncovered and refined for gamers like you.

Why Gamers Lose: the Illusion of Control

illusion of control

Thirdly, one question that plaques gamers is, "Why Gamers Lose?" This is a really good question and something the Free American Gaming Research Corps spent a lot of time researching into. It turns out that gamers have this gamer mindset that they are in full control of games. This weaker mindset does two things:

  1. One, it makes it so gamers are more hesitant to act because they assume an outcome will happen rather than assume an outcome may happen and go for it.

  2. Two, your opponents and teammates are not intimidated by you because you are so easily tricked, which has a negative impact on your personal morale.

The illusion of control is one of the biggest obstacles to peak gaming performance. To fully adopt the 50/50 Doctrine, you must accept a simple truth: every outcome has two possibilities: it happens or it doesn’t. There is no in between. To perform at your absolute best, you must eliminate distractions and commit fully to every decision. Free American Gamers sacrifice comfort for focus and understand that hesitation turns a 50/50 into a guaranteed loss. If you want to break through that hesitation, the following principles will help you act with confidence and intent:

  1. Swing instead of holding forever

  2. Pushing instead of waiting.

  3. Giving comms instead of staying silent.

You might as well do something than do nothing. Because doing nothing ensures nothing ever happens.

Game Sense is Knowing When to Flip the Coin

50 50 Mindset

As previously mentioned before, the 50/50 Doctrine truly knows that everything that happens has a 50/50 chance of happening. So how do you now when you should flip the coin?

Well, the Free American Gaming Research Corps found that you should always flip the coin. Because doing nothing simply rewards nothing. But doing something has a 50% chance of something going the way you want.

Ponder on the following quote:

"You Fail 100% of the Time You Don't Do"
-Lebron James

Wow, what a philosophical quote. It's so philosophical that we have it hung at the Free American Gaming Human Resources Department Office Building.

Going Beyond Gaming and Into Life

gaming mindset

Not only does the Free American Gaming Human Resources Department believe that the 50/50 Doctrine is a gamer mindset that all Free American Gamers must adopt. But, it also translate to life. Let's take a look at a scenario:

Let's say you are about to ask for a raise from your boss but you are terrified he might say no. You could just not ask him and stick making $10.25/hour forever. Or you could adopt the 50/50 Doctrine, bravely walk into the office, and ask for that raise. Either he says yes or no. So it's a 50/50 chance that you get something. Rather than a 100% chance of getting nothing.

As such, the 50/50 Doctrine is not only a gamer mindset, but also a life mindset. Thus, the Free American Gaming Historical Society in conjunction with the Free American Gaming Human Resources Department recommends the utilization of the 50/50 Doctrine in gaming and in life.

Conclusion

All in all, the 50/50 Doctrine is an essential gamer mindset for Free American Gamers to adopt. Not only online but in life as well. This is because of the history of the 50/50 Doctrine, breaking free from the illusion of control, knowing game sense is knowing when to flip the coin (which is always) and that the 50/50 Doctrine goes beyond gaming and into life. We expect all Free American Gamers will adopt this doctrine and become unrelenting warriors because of it.
